From the Mind of NEENZ: New Look, New Approach

From the Mind of NEENZ has evolved and not just with a new design, but a new approach – an online media magazine of the thoughts, visions and experiences From the Mind of NEENZ. What was planned as a 2-day launch, turned into two-weeks of default screen and inquiries of just what the heck is going on Inside of the Mind of NEENZ!

First, after viewing hundreds of different WordPress themes I decided on the Revolution Pro Media which wasn’t released until February 12. I wanted a layout that would feature different posts on the front page as would an online magazine. Revolution Pro Media exceeded my needs by allowing for my Flickr photos to be displayed as well as my YouTube videos.

Once installed it took at least another three days for me to begin organizing the categories, customizing the tabs, reviewing the tutorials on how to pull the photos from the posts into the layout, integrating Google Adsense, and still writing blog posts on a piece of paper to keep up with my commitment to Blog365.

Three days had passed and all I had to do was create a logo.gif, upload it into the theme folder and it would appear on my site. This took longer than I had wanted or anticipated and I began to get frustrated bordering on irritation. After another three days or more of failed attempts, I decided to vent my frustration on Twitter, and in less than a minute a friend had given me the simple, yet overlooked solution.

My next challenge was to catch up on transcribing my blog posts from paper to the world wide web. I didn’t want to re-launch without having everything in its right place, but I had received one too many inquiries from readers wondering why they couldn’t access my blog. Inside the Mind will highlight the changes, new categories and vision which as you know may or may not change from time to time.

So here it is, From the Mind of NEENZ still a work in progress, but hopefully destined to be successful!
