Five years ago at dawn, doctors and nurses at Kapiolani Medical Center delivered my niece Maiyah tipping the scales at just over 2lbs. Her 1st birthday was celebrated with hundreds of family, friends, and her essential neonatal nurses for whom we are all grateful for. Today, Maiyah is an active, joyous, and above average in height five year old student at Kamehameha Preschool. Donned a Princess at birth, she is slowly making the transition to “superstar” inspired by her newly discovered fave, Disney’s Hannah Montana. Her interests range from swimming, tumbling, dancing, singing, hula, and most recently basketball.
Maiyah celebrated her 5th birthday in many different ways. She enjoyed her bouquet of balloons and refreshing Italian ice cream with her classmates, had a blast at Dave and Buster’s followed by cake and ice cream at home. Her Dad threw her a picnic party, and yesterday we had a Princess Pool Party here at my home.
Happy Birthday Maiyah! You’re five now, celebrations will be limited to cake and ice cream only!

Eh, I had my Highschool graduation party in this same room… lol. My aunty lives in those apt’s near Pearl ridge.
It’s a small world… getting smaller.
Eric,
Small world indeed! It’s a great place.
Aloha,
NEENZ.
