About

“Storyteller sharing narratives of living a good life in Hawaii.”

Bred, born, and raised in Hawaii L.P. “Neenz” Faleafine is a nationally recognized expert in the application and use of social networks to gather intelligence, build online communities, and to use those networks to achieve favorable end results. She began her career building communities as a property manager for her father’s company in some of Hawaii’s toughest neighborhoods. There she learned that the most important commodity of a neighborhood are the people. She focused on understanding and empathizing with residents to build relationships in order to partner with organizations to find solutions. It’s through the strengthening of the people that neighborhoods thrived and communities formed.

She applies these same human-centered principles to community building using social networks and media publishing tools. Her working definition of social media is that it’s the use of technology to communicate and collaborate with people across the globe to build an engaged and sustainable community rich in culture.

She has leveraged the power of social media to build communities for leading news aggregation site Alltop, Neil Abercrombie for Governor 2010 campaign, the 2011 Hawaii Food and Wine Festival, the 2012 Lantern Floating Ceremony, and Hawaii’s leading R&D firm, Oceanit. She is the Principle of Together Enterprises, LLC the parent company of Pono Media and Pono Networks.

She is a speaker and trainer on the subject of social media, social media strategies, and building communities using social network marketing. She is also a coach in the process of design thinking.

Together, she and Noe raise their children, Chelsea and Jayden in Aiea.  This is her personal website and blog.  The opinions expressed here are her own and not that of her employer or communities.
